# Procedures

# Registration

There is no specific procedure related to the registration of a domain name.

.ES domain names are allocated on a "first come, first served" basis.

 

# Transfer

In order to initiate the transfer, the administrative contact of the domain name has to confirm the operation.

Process :
As soon as NETIM initiates the transfer at the registry level, the administrative contact will receive an email asking to confirm it.

  • If it is confirmed within the 10 first days, the transfer is operated.
  • If it is refused or left unanswered within those 10 days, it is cancelled.

The transfer is free because its renew is not included with the transfer.

# Informations

.ES domains have different required values depending on the registrant's legal form:
  • Non Spanish individual or legal entity: provide a Foreign number such as registration number for legal entities or ID card/Passport number for individuals
  • Spanish Citizen or legal entity: provide the NIF number
  • Foreigner living in Spain: provide the NIE number

# Additional fields

Some additional information may be requested in order to register a domain. In general, this information is collected by the registries in order to identify the owner, verify that he complies with the registration rules, etc. Here are the additional fields needed for this extension.

When using our APIs, additional information must be provided in the corresponding fields of the object StructContact for the domain name holder.

Fields with * must be provided in StructContact.additional array and can be used for any domain name using this contact ID.
Example:  StructContact.additional["ES_NIE"]=???
