.CO.ZA is a second-level extension of South Africa.
Mainly dedicated to companies and commercial activities, this extension is nevertheless open to all. As it is not possible to register directly under .ZA, .CO.ZA is most used in South Africa.
There is no specific procedure related to the registration of a domain name.
.CO.ZA domain names are allocated on a "first come, first served" basis.
In order to transfer your domain name to Netim, you must first go through an approval process.
To this end, the registry sends a validation request to the domain name holder as well as to the former registrar in order to request their agreement or refusal within 5 days.
According to a truth table, the result could be:
When the change is finalized, the expiration date of the domain name remains unchanged
To change the holder, you must first go through an authentication process.
To that end, validation emails will be sent to both current and future domain holders.
After a period of 5 days, the request will be cancelled.
The domain expiration date is not affected by the transfer process.
Each action on a domain name is managed in our system with an operation. Here are the types of operations supported by this extension. Please note that you can use these operations with our SOAP and REST APIs.
