# Restrictions

Owner:
An organization registered in Norway
or
A Norwegian citizen or resident,  residing in Norway, registered in the Norwegian National Population Register with a Norwegian national identity number and with a Norwegian postal address.

Limited to 100 domains per organization or 5 domains per individual

Available under conditions with our trustee service

# Procedures

# Registration

There is no specific procedure related to the registration of a domain name.

.NO domain names are allocated on a "first come, first served" basis.

 

# Transfer

In order to transfer your domain name to Netim, you must disable transfer protections and obtain the authorisation code from your current Registrar.

The transfer may take several days.

The domain expiration date is not affected by the transfer process.

# Trade

The .NO requires the signature, by the holder, of an update request form. This document will be sent to you by email once your order has been validated.

The change may take several days due to manual processing.

Once finalised, a new subscription period is started. The domain name will expired one year from the change.

# Informations

.NO domains have different required values depending on the registrant's legal form:
  • Legal entity registered in Norway: provide the company number
  • Norwegian citizen being 18+ residing in Norway: provide the registrant's .NO PID number. If you don't have a PID yet, you can request a PID here
Limited to 5 domain per individual / 100 domains per entity.

# Additional fields

Some additional information may be requested in order to register a domain. In general, this information is collected by the registries in order to identify the owner, verify that he complies with the registration rules, etc. Here are the additional fields needed for this extension.

# Trustee and local contact service

When using our APIs, you can use the trustee service by providing the contact ID TRUST4NO as idOwner value.
