Extensions management

Netim provides more than 1,000 domain name extensions / tlds that can be resold with FOSSBilling

Each extension you want to resell has to be added in the application with some parameters. When adding or managing an extension by hand, you must understand all parameters and know expected values relative to that extension. Even if all gTlds work the same (due to the ICANN rules), most of all ccTlds have specific settings.

Browse the extension list and read the extension documentation, for example .com domains.

Important ⚠️

Some extensions can’t be sold without improvements or manual fixes in the code:

The duration is hard coded with the range 1 to 5 years. This is not an issue for gTlds but many ccTlds have a yearly registration term. Don’t sell any extension that has a smaller registration range.
There is no support of additional domain fields (information to be collected in order to register a domain such as eligibility criteria, domain holder identification, …). Don’t sell any extension that require additional domain fields.
There is no support of pending domain registrations. It means that the software will consider a domain name activated whereas the registration is still under processing (and could fail at a later stage).Don’t sell any extension that have the fulfillment flag.

Add an extension

You can add extensions at Configuration > Domain management, tab +New top level domain.

Registrar
Select, from the list of activated registrars, NETIM which will be used by default when registering a domain name in this extension.
Registration price
This is your sales pricing for one year for registrations
Renewal price
This is your sales pricing for one year for renewal
Transfer price
This is your sales pricing for the change of registrar to Netim
Minimum years of registration
