Link my domain name to my Wix website

To link your domain name purchased from Netim to your website created on Wix, we recommend using the DNS pointing method. With this solution, your DNS records will remain hosted with Netim. You simply need to update your DNS settings to point your domain name to your Wix site. This way, your Netim email addresses as well as DNSSEC will remain active.

Connect your domain name to Wix via DNS pointing

Step 1 on Wix: Adding your domain

Before updating your DNS settings at Netim, you must first add your domain to your Wix account. To do this, you can follow the steps provided in the Wix tutorial, or the instructions below:

  1. Go to Domains in your Wix account
  2. Click Add an Existing Domain
  3. Click Connect a domain you already own
  4. Select the site you want to connect your domain to and click Continue
  5. Enter the domain name and click Let’s Go
  6. Click Yes, I own this domain in the sentence below the search field
  7. A pop-up saying Connect “mywebsite.com” to “Your Wix site name” will appear
  8. Do not click the Continue button – instead, in the text below, click on Go to our manual setup
  9. Review the information on screen and click Start
  10. Click pointing at the top of the screen
  11. Click Switch to Pointing Instructions
