In this tutorial, you will find the different ways to renew your domain name from your Netim Direct client area.

Via the Domain name list

Renew one domain at a time

Log in to your Netim Direct account
Click on “My domains” in the “Domains” menu
On the row of the domain you wish to renew, click on the “Renew” button
Your purchase order is automatically created, you can proceed with the payment

Renew multiple domains at the same time from a list

Log in to your Netim Direct account
Click on “My domains” in the “Domains” menu
Click on the “Select from a List” button
Enter your list in the dedicated field (one domain name per line) or upload a .txt or .csv file
The field will update. Check that the number of lines matches the number of domains you wish to renew, then click on the “Validate” button
All the domain names have now been selected. At the bottom of the page, in the drop-down menu, select the action “Renew”, then click on the “OK” button
A summary window will appear. You can choose your renewal durations collectively or individually.
Click on “Create the purchase order”, then proceed to payment.

Via the Service list

Log in to your Netim Direct account
Click on your name in the upper right-hand corner of the screen
Click on “List of your services”
Select the services you would like to renew
Click on “Renew”
Your purchase order is automatically created, you can proceed with the payment

Important ⚠

The “Renew” button might be greyed out. That’s because depending on the Registry, you might not be allowed to renew your domain before a set date.
If the renewal period is over, your domain will have to be “Restored”. In that case, additional fees may apply. To learn more, check out our dedicated tutorial on “The life cycle of a domain”.

Note 💡

Some Registries allow for a multi-year renewals. If available, you can select the wanted renewal period by clicking the drop-down menu in the “Duration” column.

Via the Renewals tab

To renew your domain name, you can also use the “Renewals” shortcut in your Netim Direct account.

Via a renewal reminder email

By default, you will be sent reminder emails 30, 15 and 7 days before the expiration date and one final reminder on the day itself. Every reminder email contains a direct link you can click to proceed to the renewal of your domain.

With our auto-renewal feature

To save you from manually renewing your services, Netim offers an automatic renewal service. You can enable auto-renewal for all your services or for specific ones, either individually or in batches of multiple services.
