Update your personal information

Your personal details can be found in the “Personal Information” right-hand menu section of your Netim Direct account.
To edit your details, simply follow these instructions:

  1. Log in to your Netim Direct account
  2. Click on your name in the upper right-hand corner of the screen
  3. Select “Personal Information
  4. Then click on “Update” and edit the information

Don’t forget to save your changes!

Manage your email preferences

You can decide if you want to receive notifications from Netim or not.
These include login alerts: when enabled, Netim will alert you in case of a successful connection to your account.

To change this setting:

  1. Log in to your Netim Direct account
  2. Click on your name in the upper right-hand corner of the screen
  3. Select “Connection and security
  4. Click on the “Email alerts” toggle button to enable or disable alerts

Exchanges and communication

Choose which type of communication you wish to receive from Netim and in which language:

  • Monthly newsletters: in which you will find the latest news (extension additions, price changes) and be the first to learn about our special offers.
  • Netim Direct’s new features: stay informed of updates as they go live and discover new features as soon as they are released!
  • Preferred language: we communicate in French and English. Select your favorite language for our future exchanges!

To update your settings:

  1. Log in to your Netim Direct account
  2. Click on your name in the upper right-hand corner of the screen
  3. Select “Preferences
  4. Click on the toggle buttons to start or stop receiving our communications

Information verification

Two types of verification can be performed by Netim:

  • When creating your account, Netim verifies your email address. This step is required to create your account. If this step is not completed, you won’t be able to access your Netim Direct account.
  • ID verification is used in certain specific cases. For example, when purchasing specific domains, the Registry in charge of the domain extension may request identity verification from the buyer.

In order to see your data verification status and to upload, if needed, the required documents:

  1. Log in to your Netim Direct account
  2. Click on your name in the upper right-hand corner of the screen
  3. Select “Personal Information
  4. Follow the instructions in the “Personal information verification” section

Forgotten password or userID

Your forgot your password! Not to worry, all you have to do to reset it is:

  1. Go to the Netim Direct login page
  2. Click on “Forgot your password or userID?”
  3. Enter your email address to receive a reset link

Can’t find your userID? You’ll need to follow these steps to retrieve it:

  1. Go to the Netim Direct login page
  2. Click on “Forgot your password or userID?”
  3. Enter your email address to receive your login

Delete your Netim Direct account

Deleting your Netim Direct account is only possible if your account is “clean”.

In other words, if you have placed an order, you cannot delete your Netim Direct account by yourself.

You will receive an error message inviting you to contact customer support.

If you haven’t placed an order and would like to delete your account:

  1. Log in to your Netim Direct account
  2. Click on your name in the upper right-hand corner of the screen
  3. Select “Personal Information
  4. Click on the “Delete my account” button under the “Personal information verification” section
